In the video, Rev. Alison answers some of the questions people often ask about baptism.

Baptism is the rite of admission and adoption into the Christian faith and into the church, usually performed by sprinkling or pouring water onto the head. Christening has become accepted as another name for baptism, but it is not its own ceremony or sacrament – it refers to the naming of the child.

At St Chad's, Baptisms usually take place in All Age services, where the child is welcomed into the church family. The main thing we offer is a chance to feel connected to your community and know that we will pray for and support you and your family in this significant life event.
